Q.1:   What is the process for registering a domain name?

Answer: The registration process consists the following steps:

Choose a domain name (and TLD)

NamesBeyond.Com is an ICANN accredited registrar for the .com, .net, .org, and .info domains. NamesBeyond.Com also offers many ccTLDs for registration. Please see our complete list of ccTLDs available for registration, including their terms and conditions and pricing schedules.

Generally speaking, anyone can register a domain name if the name is not already registered in the Top Level Domain (TLD) you had in mind. Of course you need to be the rightful owner of the name or term you are requesting to register and you must fulfill the requirements stated by the TLD when you select the domain names you wish to register via NamesBeyond.Com. Some Top Level Domains are only open to specific registrants, one example is .frn.ca, which is only open to Canadian residents.

If the domain name is already registered, you can click on the link displayed beside the domain name to view the contact and WHOIS information for the domain name.

Decide on whether you need to protect yourself with variations

1. Attract extra hits - You can point multiple domain names to your webpages.
2. Block competitors - Protect your name space by not letting your competitors use your name or some other offensive names.
3. Avoid paying more than you should - Protect your name from squatting by speculators.

Corporate Branding
Your trademark protection management is incomplete without a corresponding domain name.

Personalized Email Address

Q.3:   Is there anything I need to pay special attention when I register a domain name?

Answer: You should pay special attention to the following items:

Dispute Resolution Policies (DRP)
DRP sets forth the terms and conditions in connection with a dispute between you and any party other than us (the registrar) over the registration and use of an Internet domain name registered by you. You should familiarize yourself with the DRP that governs the TLD that your domain name belongs. For example, the UDRP (Uniform Domain-Name Dispute Resolution Policy) is applicable to all gTLDs and some ccTLDs. You can find information about the UDRP at http://www.icann.org/udrp/ .

Registrant Obligations
If you decide not to park your domain(s) at NamesBeyond.Com, you are responsible for providing the correct name servers information to NamesBeyond.Com. If you require DNS Hosting, Web Hosting, and/or Email Hosting service, please refer to our Products & Services page. If you need any assistance, NameBeyond.Com is glad to provide any consultation services necessary.

Renewal Requirements
The current registrant of a domain name has the right to renew the registration term of the domain name before the current registration term expires. Should the registrant choose not to renew the domain name, the name will be deleted and become available to other potential registrants. To renew your domain, you need to follow our simple online renewal process and re-accept our policies and agreements.

Publicly Available WHOIS Information
WHOIS information consist of your full name, address, phone number, email address, creation date of the domain, expiry date of the domain and name sever information. Once you register a domain with NamesBeyond.Com, this information will be publicly available on the Internet. Namesbeyond.Com is not liable for the usage of this information by any third parties.
